Personal Testimonials

our 2 main reasons for the spray foam work was 1) we were always having smells i.e.: dead mouse smells coming into the house and it was always cold. the insulation was at least 16″ from the flooring in most areas and wasn’t insulating anything. and as stated above we couldn’t stop anything from getting in it and dying.

so, my wife found AT FOAM, and I called on Friday and spoke to John, he was most accommodating and informative on the whole process and also stated that he did what we are looking for and will do the mobile home. the only thing he stood his ground on was they don’t do round ducting…ha-ha! I say cool, because all of mine is square!

John shows up Monday and he fit us in on his busy schedule and was very accommodating to ours as well. he spent nearly 1 1/2 hours with me going over every facet of the work, no area was left in-discussed. we hired him on the spot, after he left we called the last crawl space company we had an apt with for a quote and cancelled that. now keep in mind this is the week prior to Christmas. we also discussed the removal of the existing insulation and he contacted his contractor for that, but I asked if we had the option of removing it ourselves? he said yes and he would schedule his work around the date we gave him to prevent any possibilities of anything freezing up during the cold spell due to we had to do all the water pipe wrapping ourselves (for about a week it didn’t get above freezing, this company is awesome in every area). the date was set as Jan 1/2. so, a couple days later John calls me and said hey are you open to another schedule and I say oh yeah. he offered up the day after Christmas, we replied we will be ready to support! Special note here: if you’re not in shape don’t do your own insulation removal, just suck it up and pay for the services offered by John!

they showed up on time and as scheduled (this also takes into account that we live in the boonies, 2 hours from them!) they were very professional and got right to work, they discussed with me what was going to happen and so on and I told them that there were no restrictions and to foam everything, our goal was to insulate and seal off everything. Special note here: if you own dogs and they are “lickers and not biters” the crew was very accommodating to them too. the advertised schedule was 2 days, they were done in about 5 hours!

when they are completed they offer you the chance and the time to inspect it their work prior to them removing their gear and leaving the site, take it upon yourself to do this inspection (nice touch in their process here). I did and I found 2 small areas and they promptly took action on it. the advertised 3″ of foam was consistent. I poked thru with a 3″ spike type tool and did random measurements thru out and it was on par at 2 3/4″ to just over 3″. and considering how tight the area is this completely acceptable. they cleaned up their work areas and briefed me on how, how long to air it out, any anticipated smells from the off-gassing, etc. prior to their leaving.

in closing, we pulled off a fairly huge project at Christmas, with us doing the insulation removal, in below freezing weather and 2 hours away from them! this company will work with you within reason and go out of their way to accommodate you and the process. customer satisfaction is way off the charts here in a positive direction. we had a great experience and we are having them back to do the foam work on a garage addition we are currently working on. we highly recommend this company.
total price was about $5700 for 1700 sq ft home, this includes the extra for the ducts. and we did the insulation removal ourselves, which saved about $1800

just wanted to thank you for the work you all did. i found your pricing to be fair and the work well done. better yet, the interactions with your employees was quite impressive. i met edward and garth who worked at our house on thursday. both introduced themselves, shook my hand and answered my questions thoroughly. i was impressed by their level of engagement. usually, when workers show up at my house or place of work it’s the get in and get out mentality. and while i understand that, it’s nice when the exchange is pleasant and productive. that’s true of my phone calls or meetings with john from at-foam as well. we liked that you are or work for a veteran owned company.

i would highly recommend you guys and am very appreciative of the work you all did.

AT Foam did an awesome job. We did our research and they were the most affordable with the best reviews all around. The entire crew was polite, informative and very efficient and hard working. One of our outside faucets sprang a leak after the job was complete and John came back out immediately (on a Sunday even) just to make sure it was not related to the job at all (it was not) and to make sure no water had gotten anywhere it should not have. He also was helpful with getting the problem fixed, even though it was nothing they caused. We highly recommend them, and would definitely use them again.

I said the employees referred to me as sir – not sure which branch of the military that indicates but it speaks of professionalism and courtesy.

I would highly recommend you guys and am very appreciative of the work you all did.

Thank you for the work you and your colleagues performed installing state of the art closed-cell foam insulation for my home. Please feel free to use the attached video I made of you explaining your work. Your exemplary work included the following:

  • You gave us a very fair price and you honored your agreement
  • You and your brother John assessed the conditions before this work was done to ensure that our home had proper humidity and conditions that would allow optimal adhesion of the foam. John recommended appropriate dehumidification methods.
  • You worked well with the many contractor trades to permit them to complete their work as necessary before you started yours and adjusted your schedule appropriately.
  • You worked well with these contractors to allow them to allow challenging HVAC, plumbing and electrical components despite your need to effectively spray foam around these obstacles to still achieve an optimal installation. You did not charge extra for meeting these challenges.
  • You provided enough very professional and extremely competent people to perform this installation to the highest standards while finishing your work ahead of schedule.
  • You and your brother, John, communicated very well with me and the contractors.
You communicated well with me help me understand this product before and after installation. This helped insure success and gives me great confidence in your work.

It is rare to work with a professional who achieves all these objectives so well! Please feel free to use my email and contact information for future clients.

I would also like to thank my architect, Scott Horner for arranging your services, my main contractors, Toby and Phil, for obtaining and managing equipment needed to dehumidify the home before insulation, and our HVAC, plumbing and electrical contractors for coordinating their work with you to insure success.

I found Jake enormously detail oriented in purchasing his equipment for AT-Foam. A tough sale to say the least but one that understood the importance of getting what he paid for and making sure what he got was what he paid for. That in itself should warrant a recommendation as most entrepreneurs these days are “instant gratification” oriented and focused exclusively on the cheap price. Good luck Jake & if I can help-you know where/how to reach me.

It was good to meet you also, it’s nice to know there’s at lease one professional in the insulation business.

Went very well. Planned, priced, scheduled and completed all as stated. Said what they would do and they did what they said. very professional and experienced from the first call to completion. Prompt, consistent and an awesome finish. Cleaned up and left the way it was upon arrival except the addition of the foam. This was installed by a professional, experienced crew. Very courteous, polite and most of all provided an “Awesome” completed product. Thank you!! I would hire them again.

Everything was professional and done with excellence. John, VP of sales, came out and did the bid and was very good at answering my questions and concerns. We especially wanted to make sure the cantilever areas were insulated well to stop any drafts. They had the best bid for our job. The 2 man crew doing the work were very capable and professional. They showed up on time and got the work completed as planned. It was nice not to feel drafts through my kitchen floor in the cantilever area. The crew also told us their concerns about the state of our duct insulation, which had just been installed after the cleanout work in Sept.by another company. John even went above and beyond to check when we had problems with our house staying warm when the weather turned cold-which was not caused by their work ,but the poor insulation job on our ductwork.

On Nov.8th our house was feeling like cold air was coming through the heating vents even though our furnace was running fine. After not getting a call back from the other company about the insulation on the ducts I emailed John at AT Foam to ask if he could check if there was a loose duct or what was causing the cold air flow.

John came out and checked out the crawlspace and was shocked to see how badly the duct insulation had been done by the other company. Some areas were not wrapped at all and others had large gaps exposing the ductwork, etc. That was the cause of our house not keeping the heat and he took pictures so I could show the other company. I was shocked to see how much of the duct insulation was done poorly and I thanked John for his help. I call that service excellence and would highly recommend this company.

They were very fair and very excellent all the way round. They were very personable, very friendly and very professional. The quality was excellent.

The crew of two arrived on site and on time. Set up and began installing the foam within an hour. I advised them that there could be no foam spilled on the unfinished concrete floor. They were careful and no foam was spilled. Overall the foam went in as specified (actually applied a little on the heavy side, which is good! They paid particular attention to keeping foam off the bottom of the rafters also, and got into as many hard to reach areas as they possibly could. Cleaned up well and were off the site within 4 hours; job done.

The owner Jake has done a great job training and developing his crew. They were more professional then insulation contractors I have used on prior builds, and the quality of their work was top notch. No areas were missed, and their attention to details was impressive. Minimal to no over-spray (not easy), and very even application (time consuming) was the end result. Got positive comments from other builders.

AT-Foam applied spray foam insulation on the exterior walls and ceiling of our home bringing it up to the R-value for Pierce County, Washington.

We needed to have foam insulation rather than fiberglass because there wasn’t an attic in our home.We couldn’t find anyone on Angie’s List that did foam insulation in the Gig Harbor area, so we ended up looking in the phone book and online. AT-Foam was described as Eco-friendly and the price came in better than the other companies we contacted. AT-Foam insulated the ceiling and the walls of our 1100 square foot ranch and the entire basement, which is partially exposed. We met with Jake, with AT-Foam, onsite but returned to Wisconsin during the time his crew was insulating. We had an email from our bathroom tiler, stating that every nook and cranny was now so well insulated that we could probably heat the entire place with just body heat! AT-Foam finished up a half day earlier than we expected and Jake emailed lots of the photos of so we could see the finished product.

We would definitely recommend AT-Foam for anyone who is looking for a spray foam insulation product.

Older house poorly insulated, problem of freezing pipes and mice, they drilled holes in drywall and spray foam insulation inside walls. Sprays as liquid, fills areas, cracks and expands. They were knowledgeable about product and procedure. This company gave excellent service. It was snowing that day. They protected the carpet and entire area. Were considerate and completed in a timely manner. Excellent work performed.

Needed foam insulation on my kitchen walls to protect the plumbing. They were very responsive and answered all questions I had in my first conversation with them. They were on time and performed the job quickly and efficiently. Everything I needed and appreciate the responsiveness.

We are finishing our basement and decided that spray foam would be a great way to both insulate and also create the vapor barrier for the exterior walls. Jake responded quickly with a quote. He recommended spraying the rim joists which I decided was a good idea. He then sprayed the walls with the “closed cell” foam and then we had him spray the HVAC ducts with open cell foam for noise attenuation. We were also building one room as a music room for our son who is playing the drumset. We had AT spray the open cell foam on the walls in this room to create a sound proof room.
